Well here it is the completed picture, framed and ready to hang on the wall. I am going to give it my parents for a Birthday gift.

Painting progress.

I joined an Art club a few weeks ago and I am really enjoying it.
Here is my painting so far. It has alot more work to do yet but wanted to share my progress.
I am by no means an artist its just a hobby I love doing.



As you can see I have the forground to do yet.

Here are a few of my latest ATC's some are themed for some challenges I joined in.

These three are a lemon and lime theme.

These are some vintage ladies, one of my favourite themes.

Foil technique used on cards and books.

A few months ago I was introduced to something called foil technique. I am a big fan of things being different and having texture.

You find something you want to cover - maybe a a notepad or a card. It makes great scrapbook pages.
PVA the surface, crumple up the tin foil (use extra thick).
Stretch foil over glued surface and flatten carefully.
You can use different shapes on book/card surface to give it some extra interest. Just be a little gentle easing tin foil over glued surface.
Allow to dry.
You can keep it as it is or cover it in paint, enamel, varnish etc.

The notepad below was covered in tin foil then topped in blue and white in different areas. I allowed paint to dry to a tacky feel and used a soft cloth to remove some of the paint, to expose tin foil and make different shades of colour.





The card below is covered in a rustic colour enamel to dull the shine of the tin foil.

Stencil and acrylic paints.

I have been quite productive crafting as I have not been well enough to do much else.

Here is another first for me and I am very happy with the effect.
I used a brass stencil a dry push and a tiny amount of paint.

One of them I filled in a little with water colours.

Meet my new Stamp

As you have seen from a previous post I am enjoying stamping and painting images for cards.
Here is my new stamp - and I think she is so cute!
The image has been used for various occasions.



I am paying a lot of attention to the insert these days and making it just as pretty.



I do hope you liked her, I know she is just adorable.

As you already know I just making ATC's and a favourite theme at the moment are owls .
Below are a couple I did a awhile back.

Stamping and water colour.

I have just had a birthday and had a wonderful day. I recieved some wonderful gifts.
I had some beautiful water colours,brushes and paper, lots of crafting goodies which include some beautiful papers. And lots and lots more.....
I have been very limited in my mobility so I have been crafting a little more than usual.
Wanted to share my favourite stamp which I then painted in with my new water colours. This a first for me and I so enjoyed doing it.

As you can see below I have made these ones into Birthday cards.
Each one is slightly different as I painted in each one and used different shaped cards, or different backing paper.

A few more creations for the fete

I have been busy making a few more things for the Christmas Fete and would like to share them with you.

Here are some simple felt napkin rings. We did this recently at the craft club I go to and I have made loads, going to take some to my parents for our Christmas get together.



These little boxes are going to be filled with chocolates for the children.

Below are pin cushions I have made, they are just a little bigger than my hand. I found a tutorial online and got my sewing machine out and hey presto!


Here are some embellished wooden trinket boxes.
