Where is my mojo?

Still struggling to find my mojo, and I intend to make most of my christmas gifts by hand so I really need to find it asap.

Here are a few things I have been playing around with.


Below are some ATC,s made for a private swap.


These two pictures are painted in acrylics and may become table mats, if I cork the back and use heavy duty varnish on them.

On Canvas

Here are two more picture I did on holiday. These are done on canvas with acrylics but the blue is too blue in one of them. I might make them into table mats after I varnish them.

Set of four vintage themed ATC'S

Here is a set of four vintage themed ATC's which I have made for a private swap with another member of the craft club I belong to.
They are all connected with the same backing paper and lace but all made slightly different.

Inspired

I have struggled to get myself motivated with painting since the sudden loss of my mum.


I spent a week in the heart of Wales and was inspired to give it a whirl again.




I had a go at playing around with shadows.

This is a first for me again trying to capture a fish swimming between coral reefs.
But share it I will as hopefully I can look back and say ohh dear lol..


Its all done on hardboard in acrylics.

Sharing some sad news .

Little Angels

I have not put my hands to anything artistic since the sudden loss of my mum a few weeks ago.
Yesterday however I felt drawn to paint some little angel ornaments Mrs H senior gave me. It gave my mind a little rest from whats going on around me.
The painting isn't as accurate as I would of like but my hands are very shakey from my MS .

I am really enjoying painting and decided to have a bash at hand painting cards.

They make cards a little bit different and unique.







Some are water colours and some are acrylic paints.

Craft club- ATC

As many of you know I go to a fortnightly craft club and three of us lead it.

This past Monday was my turn and I introduced the ladies to the world of ATC making and matchbox decorating with little pieces of art inside.
Well they loved it and many have asked to do it again. I was unsure if they would find it too fiddly.
Below are three I managed to make during the class. We never got around to making the matchboxes, as the ladies just kept on creating ATC's.






Below are some matchboxes I decorated and the tiny pieces of are inside. You cram as many as you can inside and send them to your swap partner or just stash away somwhere safe so you can have a peek now and again.

This birthday card below is full of texture . It has layers of paper and a decoupaged flower topper.

Latest themed ATC's

I regulary do ATC swapS in the UK. I am a member of several groups online.
We tend to get monthly themes. Here are some I have just completed.

I just love doing this 2 1/2 inch by 3 1/2 inch ATC's. They are a little bit of fun and easy to store as a collection.

Glass windchime

As most of you know I got a fortnightly craft club . Its run on a tight budget and we do all crafts for under a £1-00. Its normaly above this but the leaders tend to use their own craft stuff to keep costs down.

We did glass painting this Monday I am sharing my bumble bee windchime .
Its handpainted and was so simple and so much fun to do. The glass paint was the very expensive part, but if used sparingly it goes a long way.

Acrylic seascape

Back to painting with acrylics on hardboard. It is where I feel comfortable.

Here is a seacape from my imagination painted on hardboard. I have treid to capture movement.

Water colour attempt.

This a water colour I did today. Completely different technique to acrylics, lots of practice needed.

This one I really struggled with and it has alot of mistakes I hope I can learn from.

Sunset/sunrise in acrylics

Been awhile since I completed a painting, I got a total painting block.

Here is one I completed yesterday and hopefully I have found my mojo again.
Its very simple but I think will look much better in a frame.
