Material Brooches.

I go to a fortnightly craft club and we did material brooches with a pin-clip back. I had so much fun I have made quite a few.
I thought they might go well on my stall at the end of March.

A good friend of mine who makes brooches (one of her many creations) gave me ideas.

Here they are.

Triptych ATC Swap on Art 'n' soul Flickr group

Triptych ATC Swap-held on the Art'n'Soul flickr group.

The theme is ALTERED HEADS

GATEFOLD
31/2" high by 5" wide card, folded to make an ATC with two doors (each 3 1/2" high by 1 1/4" wide) that meet in the middle and open out.
Your details on the back, all other surfaces to be decorated. Must include at least 1 altered head.

I joined in this swap and had great fun doing this, here is my attempt.

Below is the centre of the card, it is a Roger Moor head (James Bond) inserted into the girl with a pearl earring portrait.

This is the front when closed, it is heavily embossed all over.

It is all contained in a little organza bag.

Here are a few cards I have made using different templates in the machine.

Below are frames cut in the bigshot, then I layered them.

old to new

Well I have tried to make some little owls out of an old pair of jeans and off cuts of felt.
They are very basic but I had loads of fun making them. They could be used as pin cushions .

Below is a cushion sized owl , a little quirky looking but still cute.

Female birthday cards.

I have really enjoyed making these cards, here are a few that I have made in the last few days.

My next venture is to do a good selection of male cards. This always proves to be challenging.
