Wedding cards-

I have made these today.
(Mrs H hope these are ok. Just the 70 th card to do and then I will post them to you).
Had so much fun and made so much mess lol!! I think a new camera will be needed soon.

Here are a couple of cards I made recently. I got a few new packs of backing papers for Christmas and had a bit of fun using them.

I do hope you all had a lovely Christmas time and a great new year. Happy belated New Year to you all. I just do not know where time went, but we all had a wonderful time.

I have made some new cards to keep up with the baby boom amongst family and friends.

Mini thankyou cards.

I have starting making a few thankyou cards, you can never have too many.
Also in January I am leading a craft class and this is what we will be doing amongst other things.
I started off with the green , which I am quite pleased about. I have inked the edges and stamped a butterfly on the patterened paper. With a little thankyou in the centre.



This a close of one to try and show the edges a little better.


Then I got bolder and used some chinese style red paper with little flower images stamped either side of the thankyou.



The I went for a cool blue. These cards are a little bigger and a used a swirly thankyou image this time.

Last few Christmas cards..

These are my last few cards I have made. A little different to my other ones.
And of course they are all decoupage (as you might of gathered , its my favourite way to make cards.)


The centre image on all three is the decoupage part.

Here are a few more cards I have made. I have really struggled to get inspiration and motivation to make Christmas cards this year , so I only made about 40 cards this year.

Personalised Christmas cards.

A lady has asked me to make some cards using a picture of her dogs.

These are my first five, I have another 6 to make.
Each one is slightly different.
I felt a little nervous making cards using a picture thats so personal to somone.

New to me ATC...

Well I am not sure where to start but to say I have stumbled upon ATC'S and I am a TOTAL fan.
ATC stands for..
ATC ( artist trading card) is a specific size; 2.5 X 3.5 inches or 3.5 x 2.5 inches . In millimetres that is 64 x 89, its up to you which you use comes out the same in the wash.
These cards started life as a kind of business card for artists but have now become a very popular format for artists particularly for swapping on the internet.
Any medium you like unless the theme for a swap retricts your choice.
They should not exchange for a fee although I know some do.

This is my first ATC.


Its something I look forward to exploring.
Why not give it a go.

wood boxes-

I am by no means an arty type but I so enjoyed decorating these boxes - making them a nice unique gift to give.

The boxes are made of MDF glued and tacked together. I gave them one coat of paint.

I made one into a ''PIN CUSHION TOPPPED BOX'' - you have room for pins and needles and a few spools of thread. Each side has a different design.




...And the other I made into a trinket Christmas-themed box. It has a tiles top and christmas themed pictures around it
.


Next is a chest-shaped wooden box and it has all sorts of textures and colours. Quite a girly designed box.

I have been quite brave with some of my backing papers I have used.

The Butterflies wings come up and look like they are flying.



I can personalise these cards by putting a name and age in the steam coming from the train.
You can see I went a little whacky with the backing paper.

Christmas cards-2

Here are some more Christmas cards, slightly more simple.

I used some stunning textured backing paper to add some depth.


How are you getting on with Christmas Cards this year? I have found a very limited assortment in the shops, as many just dont mention Christmas or have weird and strange insert messages.

Some new Christmas cards

The firstcard is a bookatrix card with choir boys singing

The second card is a simple christmas tree, I think it looks great.

The third and fourth are sillouette images of buildings with a starry sky.

Finally the last card is a sliegh and santa.
